1

Coaching area to monitorReport writing below the meeting standard

Trainee position

Phase, day, assigned FTO, approved DORs, and readiness stay attached to the trainee—not to a particular FTO cycle.

Actionable review

Authorized supervisors can see pending reports and coaching priorities before moving a record forward.

Descriptive analysis

Observed ratings, coverage, and trends give context. N/O is excluded from averages; the data never replaces supervisory judgment.

SECURE APP ACCESS

Go directly to your work.

The public website never displays personnel records. Sign in to the protected app and TrueNorth opens the workspace your role allows.

Access is controlled by your active agency membership and role. A link never bypasses authorization.

REAL-WORLD READY

Training is complex.
The record should be clear.

Traditional programs ask FTOs and supervisors to manage critical development through disconnected forms, memory, and repetitive review.

01

Paper and scattered records

Observations, evaluations, and signatures live in different places.

02

Memory-based reporting

Important context fades before the report is completed.

03

Repetitive documentation

The same information is entered and reviewed multiple times.

04

Limited pattern visibility

Recurring concerns are difficult to see across shifts and phases.

05

Delayed supervisory review

Command visibility depends on records reaching the right desk.

06

Sensitive information

Personnel and training records require deliberate, controlled handling.

SECURITY & PRIVACY

Designed for information that requires care.

Training records can contain sensitive personnel information. TrueNorth separates public pages, platform account operations, and each agency’s private record workspace.

Agency isolationKeep agency workspaces and authorized membership boundaries separate.
Role-based accessLimit records and actions according to assigned responsibilities.
Audited administrationRecord meaningful agency-account and training-record actions.
Record preservationPreserve existing records when account access or editing is restricted.

Implementation note: Authentication, retention, hosting, agreements, integrations, and jurisdiction-specific security requirements must be finalized before a live agency launch. No certification or compliance status is implied.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Practical answers for agency leaders.

What does TrueNorth Field Training do now?

The current Field Training app supports mobile evaluations, DOR routing, signatures, phase summaries, analysis, and printable records for authorized agency workspaces.

Can TrueNorth support more than one agency?

Yes. The platform is designed around isolated agency workspaces. TrueNorth platform operations can create, trial, restrict, suspend, and close agency accounts without automatically gaining access to confidential evaluation content.

Can TrueNorth match our existing field-training model?

TrueNorth currently supports standardized San Jose and Reno/PTO structures. Agencies can choose three or four numbered FTO phases before the final Shadow phase and set expected dates for each trainee.

Can we use our current evaluation categories?

Each model opens its standard required evaluation areas automatically. Agency-specific category mapping should be confirmed during onboarding; arbitrary custom forms are not part of the current pilot.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

The experience is designed for responsive use on phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop workstations so documentation can begin in the field and continue wherever review occurs.

Who can view a trainee’s records?

Access is intended to follow agency-defined roles. Trainees, FTOs, supervisors, coordinators, and command staff can be assigned different visibility and actions. Exact permissions are finalized with each agency.

Can supervisors identify performance trends?

Yes. Authorized reviewers can view category history, recurring coaching themes, phase progress, and items requiring attention using organized dashboards and reports.

Can it document remedial training?

Yes. The platform can organize the concern, assigned remedial activity, responsible personnel, review dates, progress notes, and completion status.

How long does implementation take?

Timing depends on program complexity, category mapping, approval requirements, data preparation, and agency review. A discovery conversation is the best way to establish a realistic plan.

Can we request a demonstration?

Yes. The request form prepares an email in your mail app. Review and send the draft to TrueNorth; an automated form-delivery service is not connected yet.
